Professional-Amateur Golf Tournament
The funds raised from the First Annual Dean Hedstrom Foundation for Melanoma Awareness Pro-Am Golf Tournament and Live and Silent Auction allowed the foundation to purchase and donate a CoverShots™ sun-shade structure to the Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Academy in Clearwater, Florida. In addition, the foundation was able to make a significant donation to the Dean Hedstrom Research Fund at UCSF, to support melanoma research.
Our Second Annual DHFMA event held at Belleair Country Club, May 2011 was a huge success. The support from the surrounding community was unbelievable. The funds raised from this event allowed us to donate a CoverShots™ sun-shade structure to Mangrove Bay, a public golf course with a large First-Tee program located in St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition we were yet again able to make a generous donation to the Dean Hedstrom Research Fund at the UCSF, in support of melanoma research.
